Our Satisfaction-or-Refund Promise, Explained

October 28, 2025 6 min readby Autocertif Team

We back every certified report with a satisfaction-or-refund guarantee. It is easy to print such a promise; it is harder to honour one clearly, and harder still to make it specific enough that you know exactly where you stand. A guarantee you cannot understand is not really a guarantee, merely a comfort. This article explains precisely how ours works, what it covers, how to use it, and why we consider it inseparable from the seal itself.

What the guarantee covers

If a report fails to deliver the certified information it promised, if it is incomplete against the sources available, or if it simply does not meet the standard we set, you are entitled to a refund. The promise is about the integrity of the service, not the outcome of your purchase decision.

That distinction is deliberate and worth dwelling on. We stand behind the quality and honesty of the report. We cannot, and do not, guarantee that a vehicle will please you or that a deal will go your way, because those depend on choices and conditions outside the document. What we guarantee is that the certified findings inside it were produced to the standard the seal represents.

How to make a claim

The process is intentionally simple, because a guarantee buried in friction is a guarantee in name only.

  • Contact our team with your report reference.
  • Tell us, in your own words, where the report fell short.
  • We review the case against our published certification standards.
  • Where the claim is valid, we refund without quibble.

You will deal with a named team rather than an anonymous queue, and you will receive a reasoned answer rather than a form reply. Recourse that cannot be reached is not recourse at all.

Why we offer it

The guarantee is not a marketing flourish; it is a discipline. Knowing that we stand behind every report financially keeps our standards honest, because a promise with a cost attached cannot be made carelessly. It aligns our interest with yours: our incentive is to produce a report worth paying for, every time.

A guarantee is a promise with a price on it. That price is exactly what keeps the promise from being empty.

What it is not, and why honesty matters

A guarantee is most trustworthy when its boundaries are stated as plainly as its promises. Ours is not a guarantee against changing your mind, against a vehicle that simply turns out not to suit you, or against the ordinary risks of any purchase. It is a guarantee about our work: that the certified findings were sourced, verified and presented to the standard the seal represents.

We say this openly because an overstated guarantee erodes the very trust it is meant to build. A promise that quietly excludes everything in the small print is worse than no promise at all. By being clear about what we will and will not stand behind, we make the part we do stand behind genuinely dependable.

This honesty also shapes how we handle the difficult cases at the margin. Where a report is incomplete because a market genuinely offers no record, that limit was disclosed in the report itself, not discovered by you afterward. The guarantee answers for our failures, not for the gaps we already told you about, and that distinction is what keeps it both fair and meaningful.

Transparent pricing alongside it

A clear guarantee deserves an equally clear price. Access begins with a 2-day trial for €3.99, then continues at €49.99/month, renewing automatically with the freedom to cancel at any time. There are no tiers to weigh and no surprises at renewal, so the figure you see is the figure you pay, and the guarantee stands behind the report you receive for it.

Confidence, formalised

A certification mark and a refund promise are two halves of the same commitment. One says we did the work properly; the other says we will answer for it if we did not. Neither is complete without the other: a mark with no recourse is decoration, and a refund offer with no standard behind it is hollow.

Together they are what premium means at Autocertif. The seal earns your trust at the point of purchase, and the guarantee keeps it afterward, which is precisely the order in which a serious commitment should hold.
